Serenco UK Limited – Single Sign-on Project
Established in 2000, Serenco UK traditionally operates as a wholesaler, supplying automotive and industrial tool distributors across the UK and Ireland. In addition to our distribution network, we are now able to offer customers our comprehensive range of tools directly via our e-commerce website
Situation
One of our Northampton-based companies requires a more flexible Warehouse management system, meaning that it needs to be moved to the cloud (via Azure), with security features enabling it to protect the system.
Approach
Utilising our expertise, the third-party Warehouse Management support team and Microsoft-built tools, we were able to facilitate Single Sign On from the onsite Active Directory to the Cloud Hybrid AzureAD system, so that all passwords were synchronised between the on-premise and cloud systems. This enables a strong security posture for the Cloud-based Warehouse Management System.
Impact and Advantage
The customer was very happy with the solution, and now has a flexible WMS system going forward, so their expansion plans are much easier to implement.
