The Lowdown
Situation
The Lowdown is a voluntary Mental Health charity, providing free and confidential counselling, emotional wellbeing, sexual health and LGBTQ support services for 11-25 year olds.
They have very old hardware on site and poor networking across their Grade listed Building. This all requires upgrading and modernising.
Approach
Using Microsoft 365, we migrated the email system to the cloud, allowing a more mobile work force. After this was completed and working well for them, we then migrated the data to multiple Sharepoint Online sites.
Once that was completed we decommissioned the onsite server and removed the Active Directory Domain from the machines.
Impact and Advantage
The work we conducted allows the workforce to be completely non reliant on the onsite server or services, which for a charity such as The Lowdown makes them more efficient for their front line services.
