Mobile Device Protection – should I bother?

In recent months we have seen an alarming increase in mobile device infections.

By the end of this year, smartphones will outnumber the entire human population, with smart phone subscriptions reaching more than 7 billion. Just as the  targeted the dominant operating system of the past—Windows—now they are targeting the Android platform and its nearly one billion devices.

As well as Android, many more mobile Windows 8.1 devices are being used with only the basic Windows Defender AV enabled. Even Microsoft have stated that this is a basic package and should not be used longer term.

To this end we strongly encourage our customers to contact us regarding their Antivirus and Security requirements going forward, it’s better to be protected than not.
