Is your company using Microsoft Copilot?

The tool has now been out for several months, with many at launch wondering what exactly Copilot could be used for in a practical, everyday work scenario.
We help our customers explore some of the many features of Copilot, but there are many considerations that need to be planned when investing both time and money in this AI tool.
These include:
1. AI Data Security – How accessible is your company data to Copilot? Will sensitive documents be protected, and do we ensure security is in place for the right people to use AI with the correct data access rights?
2. AI Use – The output of Copilot – how accurate is it? Can you use it to make business decisions or communications? What type of checks should you have in place for staff that regularly use Copilot? What’s your process here?
3. Future AI Models – All that sensitive company data that may be entered into Copilot – will it be used by a competitor sometime in the future if a new Microsoft AI has been built with your data?
4. Software Costs – What is the ROI on Copilot? How should you gauge which staff and areas of the business need a license? How do you measure success?
5. Prompt Engineering for Your Specific Use Cases – Everyone’s business works differently – how can you make the best use of Copilot in your business to save time and increase productivity?
6. Digital Transformation – A buzzword that came on the scene over 10 years ago – is AI & Microsoft the silver bullet that will transform the way your business operates? It can certainly automate many manual and laborious tasks, but is technology the solution to your business problems?
As you can see, there are many areas to cover when it comes to deploying any form of AI in your business, not just Copilot.
The biggest question is, where to start with this? Back when I was first learning about computers (a long time ago), I was lucky enough to have a fascination with them. Technology has always been by my side, and I’ve had enthusiasm for it for many years.
That first spark of seeing a computer and watching what it could do was re-ignited when I first saw the output of a simple question into ChatGPT. I was amazed, as much of the world has been, with this tool and other large language models.
Will it change the world? Or are we in a hype cycle? Join us in discovering how AI and Microsoft Copilot can transform the way you do business.
